We are happy to be able to give you some good news and announce that the FERC (Federal Energy Regulatory Commission) has approved the Jordan Cove Liquefied Natural Gas Project Permit. This is the 12th export terminal approved and the first export terminal the Commission has certified on the west coast in the lower 48. We appreciate the extra deliberation of the FERC commissioners to make this happen. This now means that all local and Federal permits have been approved. There is still work to be done but this is one step closer. Jordan Cove will now continue to obtain permits from DEQ ( Department of Environmental Quality), DLCD (Oregon Development of Land Conservation and Development) and DSL ( Oregon Department of State Lands). With your continued support we can make our communities stronger and make Jordan Cove a reality! I will continue to update you and let you know how you can be part of moving the project forward. In these hard times we know even more that our communities need living wage jobs and economic growth.
