The Southwest Oregon Regional Airport used to offer daily flights to and from Portland. It’s a necessary service to promote and sustain business activity in Coos County and the surrounding region.
The Oregon State Aviation board recently granted the airport $500,000 to help them get closer to reaching their goal!
Next steps are submitting a grant application to the U.S. Department of Transportation’s Small Community Air Service Development Grant program.
The airport is targeting to confirm funding and airline selection by Spring 2020 to resume daily flight service to Portland.
